恭读依撒意亚先知书 9:1-6
在黑暗中行走的百姓看见了一道皓光，光辉已射在那寄居在漆黑之地的人们身上。你加强了他们的快乐，扩大了他们的欢喜；他们在你面前欢乐，有如人收割时的欢乐，又如分享战利品时的愉快；因为你折断了他们所负的重轭、他们肩上的横木，以及压迫他们者的短棍，有如在米德杨那天一样；因为战士所穿发响的军靴，和染满血迹的战袍，都要被焚毁，作为火焰的燃料。因为有一个婴孩为我们诞生了，有一个儿子赐给了我们；他肩上担负着王权，他的名字要称为神奇的谋士、大能的天主、永远之父、和平之王。他的王权是伟大的，达味的御座和他王国的平安是无限的，他将以正义与公平，巩固与保护这王国，从今时直到永远：万军上主的热诚必要完成这事。
Reading 1
A reading from the book of the Prophet Isaiah 9:1-6
The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
Upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom
a light has shone.
You have brought them abundant joy
and great rejoicing,
As they rejoice before you as at the harvest,
as men make merry when dividing spoils.
For the yoke that burdened them,
the pole on their shoulder,
And the rod of their taskmaster
you have smashed, as on the day of Midian.
For every boot that tramped in battle,
every cloak rolled in blood,
will be burned as fuel for flames.
For a child is born to us, a son is given us;
upon his shoulder dominion rests.
They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero,
Father-Forever, Prince of Peace.
His dominion is vast
and forever peaceful,
From David’s throne, and over his kingdom,
which he confirms and sustains
By judgment and justice,
both now and forever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this!

恭读圣路加福音 1:26-38
那时候，天使加俾额尔奉天主差遣，往加里肋亚的城去，到一位童贞女那里，她已与达味家族中的一个名叫若瑟的男子订了婚，童贞女的名字叫玛利亚。天使进去向她说：“万福！充满恩宠者，上主与你同在！”（在女人中你是蒙祝福的。 ）她却因这话惊惶不安，便思虑这样的请安有什么意思。天使对她说：“玛利亚，不要害怕，因为你在天主前获得了宠幸。看，你将怀孕生子，并要给他起名叫耶稣。他将是伟大的，并被称为至高者的儿子，上主天主要把他祖先达味的御座赐给他。他要为王统治雅各伯家，直到永远；他的王权没有终结。”玛利亚便向天使说：“这事怎能成就？因为我不认识男人。”天使答覆她说：“圣神要临于你，至高者的能力要庇荫你，因此，那要诞生的圣者，将称为天主的儿子。且看，你的亲戚依撒伯尔，她虽在老年，却怀了男胎，本月已六个月了，她原是素称不生育的，因为在天主前没有不能的事。”玛利亚说：“看！上主的婢女，愿照你的话成就于我吧！”天使便离开她去了。
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 1:26-38
The angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David,
and the virgin’s name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said,
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.”
But she was greatly troubled at what was said
and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”
But Mary said to the angel,
“How can this be,
since I have no relations with a man?”
And the angel said to her in reply,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Therefore the child to be born
will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative,
has also conceived a son in her old age,
and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.”
Then the angel departed from her.
