恭读圣保禄宗徒致格林多人前书 10:14-22
我亲爱的诸位：你们要逃避崇拜邪神的事。我想我是对明理的人说话；你们自己审断我所说的吧！我们所祝福的那祝福之杯，岂不是共结合于基督的血吗？我们所擘开的饼，岂不是共结合于基督的身体吗？因为饼只是一个，我们虽多，只是一个身体，因为我们众人都共享这一个饼。你们且看按血统做以色列的，那些吃祭物的，不是与祭坛有关系的人吗？那么，我说什么呢？是说祭邪神的肉算得什么吗？或是说邪神算得什么吗？不是，我说的是：外教人所祭祀的，是祭祀邪魔，而不是祭祀真神。我不愿意你们与邪魔有关系。你们不能喝主的杯，又喝邪魔的杯；你们不能共享主的筵席，又共享邪魔的筵席。难道我们要惹主发怒吗？莫非我们比他还强吗？
Reading 1
A reading from the first letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians 10:14-22
My beloved ones, avoid idolatry.
I am speaking as to sensible people;
judge for yourselves what I am saying.
The cup of blessing that we bless,
is it not a participation in the Blood of Christ?
The bread that we break,
is it not a participation in the Body of Christ?
Because the loaf of bread is one,
we, though many, are one Body,
for we all partake of the one loaf.
Look at Israel according to the flesh;
are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar?
So what am I saying?
That meat sacrificed to idols is anything?
Or that an idol is anything?
No, I mean that what they sacrifice,
they sacrifice to demons, not to God,
and I do not want you to become participants with demons.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and also the cup of demons.
You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
Or are we provoking the Lord to jealous anger?
Are we stronger than him?

恭读圣路加福音 6:43-49
耶稣对门徒说：“没有好树结坏果子的，也没有坏树结好果子的。每一棵树凭它的果子就可认出来。人从荆棘上收不到无花果，从茨藤上也剪不到葡萄。善人从自己心中的善库发出善来，坏人从恶库中发出恶来，因为心里充满什么，口里就说什么。你们为什么称呼我：主啊！主啊！而不行我所吩咐的呢？
“凡到我跟前，听了我的道理而实行的，我要给你们指出，他相似什么人：他相似一个建造房屋的人，掘地深挖，把基础建立在磐石上，洪水瀑发时，大水冲击那座房屋，而不能动摇它，因为它建筑得好。但那听了而不实行的，相似人在平地上不打基础而建造房屋，洪水一冲击，那房屋立刻倾倒，且破坏得很惨。”
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 6:43-49
Jesus said to his disciples:
“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit,
nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit.
For every tree is known by its own fruit.
For people do not pick figs from thornbushes,
nor do they gather grapes from brambles.
A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good,
but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil;
for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command?
I will show you what someone is like who comes to me,
listens to my words, and acts on them.
That one is like a man building a house,
who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock;
when the flood came, the river burst against that house
but could not shake it because it had been well built.
But the one who listens and does not act
is like a person who built a house on the ground
without a foundation.
When the river burst against it,
it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”
