恭读索福尼亚先知书 3:1-2, 9-13
上主这样说：祸哉！那叛逆、污秽，而残暴的城市！她从不听呼声，又不接受教训；不倚赖上主，也不亲近她的天主。
那时，我要使万民的口唇纯洁，好能称呼上主的名号，同心协力服侍上主。钦崇我的人，（即我所分散的集团）要从雇士河那边给我贡献祭品。在那一天，你决不再因你反抗我的一切作为而羞惭，因为那时我必由你中间驱逐你那些骄矜自夸的人，使你不再在我的圣山上自夸；但我必在你中间留下谦逊和贫苦的百姓，他们必依赖上主的名号。以色列的遗民不再行邪恶，也不再说谎言；在他们的口里也再找不到欺诈的舌头：的确，他们或是牧放，或是休息，没有人来恐吓。
Reading 1
A reading from the Book of the Prophet Zephaniah 3:1-2, 9-13
Thus says the LORD:
Woe to the city, rebellious and polluted,
to the tyrannical city!
She hears no voice,
accepts no correction;
In the LORD she has not trusted,
to her God she has not drawn near.
For then I will change and purify
the lips of the peoples,
That they all may call upon the name of the LORD,
to serve him with one accord;
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
and as far as the recesses of the North,
they shall bring me offerings.
On that day
You need not be ashamed
of all your deeds,
your rebellious actions against me;
For then will I remove from your midst
the proud braggarts,
And you shall no longer exalt yourself
on my holy mountain.
But I will leave as a remnant in your midst
a people humble and lowly,
Who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD:
the remnant of Israel.
They shall do no wrong
and speak no lies;
Nor shall there be found in their mouths
a deceitful tongue;
They shall pasture and couch their flocks
with none to disturb them..
福音
恭读圣玛窦福音 21:28-32
那时候，耶稣对司祭长和民间的长老说：“你们以为怎样？从前有一个人，有两个儿子，他对第一个说：孩子！你今天到葡萄园里去工作吧！他回答说：主，我去。但他却没有去。他对第二个也说了同样的话，第二个却答应说：我不愿意。但后来悔悟过来，而又去了。二人中那一个履行了父亲的意愿？”他们说：“后一个。”耶稣对他们说：“我实在告诉你们：税吏和娼妓要在你们以先进入天国，因为若翰来到你们这里履行了正义，你们仍不信他，税吏和娼妓倒相信了；至于你们，见了后，仍不悔悟去相信他。”
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 21:28-32
Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people:
“What is your opinion?
A man had two sons.
He came to the first and said,
‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’
The son said in reply, ‘I will not,’
but afterwards he changed his mind and went.
The man came to the other son and gave the same order.
He said in reply, ‘Yes, sir,’ but did not go.
Which of the two did his father’s will?”
They answered, “The first.”
Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you,
tax collectors and prostitutes
are entering the Kingdom of God before you.
When John came to you in the way of righteousness,
you did not believe him;
but tax collectors and prostitutes did.
Yet even when you saw that,
you did not later change your minds and believe him.”
