恭读撒慕尔纪上 1:24-28
撒慕尔断乳后，亚纳便带着他和一头三岁的牛，一“厄法”面和一皮囊酒，来到史罗上主的圣殿；孩子还很小。他们祭杀了牛以后，孩子的母亲来到厄里前，对他说：“我主，请听：我主，就如你活着那样真实，我就是曾在你旁边祈求上主的那个妇人，那时我为得到这孩子祈祷，上主就赏赐了我所恳求的，所以我现在把他献于上主，他一生是属于上主的。”亚纳便把撒慕尔留在上主那里。
Reading 1
A reading from the First Book of Samuel 1:24-28
In those days,
Hannah brought Samuel with her,
along with a three-year-old bull,
an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine,
and presented him at the temple of the LORD in Shiloh.
After the boy’s father had sacrificed the young bull,
Hannah, his mother, approached Eli and said:
“Pardon, my lord!
As you live, my lord,
I am the woman who stood near you here, praying to the LORD.
I prayed for this child, and the LORD granted my request.
Now I, in turn, give him to the LORD;
as long as he lives, he shall be dedicated to the LORD.”
She left Samuel there.
福音
恭读圣路加福音 1:46-56
玛利亚遂说：“我的灵魂颂扬上主，我的心神欢跃于天主，我的救主，因为他垂顾了他婢女的卑微；今后万世万代都要称我有福；因为全能者在我身上行了大事，他的名字是圣的，他的仁慈世世代代于无穷世，赐与敬畏他的人。他伸出了手臂施展大能，驱散那些心高气傲的人。他从高座上推下权势者，却举扬了卑微贫困的人。他曾使饥饿者饱飨美物，反使那富有者空手而去。他曾回忆起自己的仁慈，扶助了他的仆人以色列；正如他向我们的祖先所说过的恩许，施恩于亚巴郎和他的子孙，直到永远。”玛利亚同依撒伯尔住了三个月左右，就回本家去了。
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 1:46-56
Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
for he has looked upon his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
and has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.”
Mary remained with Elizabeth about three months
and then returned to her home.
