恭读厄则克耳先知书 34:1-11
上主的话传给我说：“人子，你应说预言攻斥以色列的牧者；向他们讲预言说：我主上主这样说：祸哉，以色列的牧者！你们只知牧养自己；牧人岂不应该牧养羊群？你们吃羊奶，穿羊毛衣，宰肥羊，却不牧养羊群：瘦弱的，你们不扶养；患病的，你们不医治；受伤的，你们不包扎；迷路的，你们不领回；遗失的，你们不寻找，反而用强力和残暴去管治他们。因为没有牧人，羊都四散了；羊四散后，便成了一切野兽的食物。我的羊在群山峻岭中迷了路，我的羊四散在全地面上，没有人去寻，没有人去找。为此牧者啊！听上主的话吧！我指着我的生命起誓——我主上主的断语——因为我的羊群没有牧者，所以成了猎物；我的羊群成了一切野兽的食物，因为我的牧者不寻找我的羊，只知牧养自己，而不牧养我的羊，为此，牧者啊！听上主的话吧！我主上主这样说：我要攻击那些牧者，从他们手里追讨我的羊，我不再让他们牧放羊群；这样，牧者便不能再牧养自己了；我要从他们口中救出我的羊，不再作他们的食物。因为我主上主这样说：看，我要亲自去寻找我的羊，我要亲自照顾我的羊。”
Reading 1
A reading from the book of the Prophet Ezekiel 28:1-10
The word of the Lord came to me:
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel,
in these words prophesy to them to the shepherds:
Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel
who have been pasturing themselves!
Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?
You have fed off their milk, worn their wool,
and slaughtered the fatlings,
but the sheep you have not pastured.
You did not strengthen the weak nor heal the sick
nor bind up the injured.
You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost,
but you lorded it over them harshly and brutally.
So they were scattered for the lack of a shepherd,
and became food for all the wild beasts.
My sheep were scattered
and wandered over all the mountains and high hills;
my sheep were scattered over the whole earth,
with no one to look after them or to search for them.
Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
As I live, says the Lord GOD,
because my sheep have been given over to pillage,
and because my sheep have become food for every wild beast,
for lack of a shepherd;
because my shepherds did not look after my sheep,
but pastured themselves and did not pasture my sheep;
because of this, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
Thus says the Lord GOD:
I swear I am coming against these shepherds.
I will claim my sheep from them
and put a stop to their shepherding my sheep
so that they may no longer pasture themselves.
I will save my sheep,
that they may no longer be food for their mouths.
For thus says the Lord GOD:
I myself will look after and tend my sheep.

那时，耶稣给门徒讲了这个比喻：“天国好像一个家主，清晨出去为自己的葡萄园雇工人。他与工人议定一天一个“德纳”，就派他们到葡萄园里去了。约在第三时辰，他又出去，看见另有些人在街市上闲立着，就对他们说：你们也到我的葡萄园里去吧！凡照公义该给的，我必给你们。他们就去了。约在第六和第九时辰，他又出去，也照样作了。约在第十一时辰，他又出去，看见还有些人站在那里，就对他们说：为什么你们站在这里整天闲着？他们对他说：因为没有人雇我们。他对他们说：你们也到我的葡萄园里去吧！到了晚上，葡萄园的主人对他的管事人说：你叫工人来，分给他们工资，由最后的开始，直至最先的。那些约在第十一时辰来的人，每人领了一个“德纳”。那些最先雇的前来，心想自己必会多领；但他们也只领了一个“德纳”。他们一领了，就抱怨家主，说：这些最后雇的人，不过工作了一个时辰，而你竟把他们与我们这整天受苦受热的，同等看待。他答覆其中的一个说：朋友！我并没有亏负你，你不是和我议定了一个“德纳”吗？拿你的走吧！我愿意给这最后来的和给你的一样。难道不许我拿我所有的财物，行我所愿意的吗？或是因为我好，你就眼红吗？这样，最后的将成为最先的，最先的将成为最后的。”
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 20:1-16
Jesus told his disciples this parable:
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a landowner
who went out at dawn to hire laborers for his vineyard.
After agreeing with them for the usual daily wage,
he sent them into his vineyard.
Going out about nine o’clock,
he saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
and he said to them, ‘You too go into my vineyard,
and I will give you what is just.’
So they went off.
And he went out again around noon,
and around three o’clock, and did likewise.
Going out about five o’clock,
he found others standing around, and said to them,
‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’
They answered, ‘Because no one has hired us.’
He said to them, ‘You too go into my vineyard.’
When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,
‘Summon the laborers and give them their pay,
beginning with the last and ending with the first.’
When those who had started about five o’clock came,
each received the usual daily wage.
So when the first came, they thought that they would receive more,
but each of them also got the usual wage.
And on receiving it they grumbled against the landowner, saying,
‘These last ones worked only one hour,
and you have made them equal to us,
who bore the day’s burden and the heat.’
He said to one of them in reply,
‘My friend, I am not cheating you.
Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage?
Take what is yours and go.
What if I wish to give this last one the same as you?
Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money?
Are you envious because I am generous?’
Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
