恭读厄则克耳先知书 37:1-14
那时，上主的手临于我，上主的神引我出去，把我放在平原中，那里布满了骨头；他领我在骨头周围走了一遭；见平原上骨头的确很多，又很干枯。他问我说：“人子，这些骨头可以复生吗？”我答说：“我主上主！你知道。”他对我说：“你向这些骨头讲预言，向他们说：干枯的骨头，听上主的话吧！我主上主对这些骨头这样说：看，我要使气息进入你们内，你们必要复活。我给你们放上筋，加上肉，包上皮，把气息注入你们内，你们就复活了：如此，你们便要承认我是上主。”于是我遵命讲预言。正当我讲预言时，忽然有一个响声，一阵震动，骨头与骨头互相结合起来。我望见他们身上有了筋，生了肉，包了皮，但他们还没有气息。上主对我说：“你应向气息讲预言！人子，应向气息讲预言说：我主上主这样说：气息，你应由四方来，吹在这些被杀的人身上，使他们复活。”我遵命一讲了预言，气息就进入他们内，他们遂复活了，并且站了起来；实在是一支极庞大的军队。
上主对我说：“人子，这些骨头就是以色列家族。他们常说：我们的骨头干枯了，绝望了，我们都完了！为此，你向他们讲预言说：我主上主这样说：看，我要亲自打开你们的坟墓；我的百姓，我要从你们的坟墓中把你们领出来，引你们进入以色列地域。我的百姓！当我打开你们的坟墓，把你们从坟墓内领出来的时候，你们便承认我是上主。我要把我的神注入你们内，使你们复活，叫你们安居在你们的地域内，那时，你们便要承认我，上主言出必行。”
Reading 1
A reading from the book of the Prophet Ezekiel 37:1-14
The hand of the LORD came upon me,
and led me out in the Spirit of the LORD
and set me in the center of the plain,
which was now filled with bones.
He made me walk among the bones in every direction
so that I saw how many they were on the surface of the plain.
How dry they were!
He asked me:
Son of man, can these bones come to life?
I answered, “Lord GOD, you alone know that.”
Then he said to me:
Prophesy over these bones, and say to them:
Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!
Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones:
See! I will bring spirit into you, that you may come to life.
I will put sinews upon you, make flesh grow over you,
cover you with skin, and put spirit in you
so that you may come to life and know that I am the LORD.
I prophesied as I had been told,
and even as I was prophesying I heard a noise;
it was a rattling as the bones came together, bone joining bone.
I saw the sinews and the flesh come upon them,
and the skin cover them, but there was no spirit in them.
Then the LORD said to me:
Prophesy to the spirit, prophesy, son of man,
and say to the spirit: Thus says the Lord GOD
From the four winds come, O spirit,
and breathe into these slain that they may come to life.
I prophesied as he told me, and the spirit came into them;
they came alive and stood upright, a vast army.
Then he said to me:
Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.
They have been saying,
“Our bones are dried up,
our hope is lost, and we are cut off.”
Therefore, prophesy and say to them: Thus says the Lord GOD:
O my people, I will open your graves
and have you rise from them,
and bring you back to the land of Israel.
Then you shall know that I am the LORD,
when I open your graves and have you rise from them,
O my people!
I will put my spirit in you that you may live,
and I will settle you upon your land;
thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
I have promised, and I will do it, says the LORD.

恭读圣玛窦福音 22:34-40
那时，法利塞人听说耶稣使撒杜塞人闭口无言，就聚集在一起；他们中有一个法学士试探他，发问说：“师傅，法律中那条诫命是最大的？”耶稣对他说：“‘你应全心、全灵、全意爱上主你的天主。’这是最大也是第一条诫命。第二条与此相似：你应当爱近人如你自己。全部法律和先知，都系于这两条诫命。”

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 22:34-40
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees,
they gathered together, and one of them,
a scholar of the law, tested him by asking,
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
He said to him,
“You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
