Saturday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time

恭读圣保禄宗徒致格林多人前书 15:35-37, 42-49
弟兄们:有人会说:死人将怎样复活呢?他们将带着什么样的身体回来呢?糊涂人啊!你所播的种子若不先死了,决不得生出来;并且你所播种的,并不是那将要生出的形体,而是一颗赤裸的籽粒,譬如一颗麦粒,或者别的种粒。
死人的复活也是这样:播种的是可朽坏的,复活起来的是不可朽坏的;播种的是可羞辱的,复活起来的是光荣的;播种的是软弱的,复活起来的是强健的;播种的是属生灵的身体,复活起来的是属神的身体;既有属生灵的身体,也就有属神的身体。
经上也这样记载说:“第一个人亚当成了生灵”,最后的亚当成了使人生活的神。但属神的不是在先,而是属生灵的,然后才是属神的。第一个人出于地,属于土,第二个人出于天。那属于土的怎样,凡属于土的也怎样;那属于天上的怎样,凡属于天上的也怎样。我们怎样带了那属于土的肖像,也要怎样带那属于天上的肖像。
Reading 1
A reading from the first letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians 15:35-37, 42-49
Brothers and sisters:
Someone may say, “How are the dead raised?
With what kind of body will they come back?”You fool!
What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies.
And what you sow is not the body that is to be
but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind.
So also is the resurrection of the dead.
It is sown corruptible; it is raised incorruptible.
It is sown dishonorable; it is raised glorious.
It is sown weak; it is raised powerful.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual one.
So, too, it is written,
“The first man, Adam, became a living being,”
the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
But the spiritual was not first;
rather the natural and then the spiritual.
The first man was from the earth, earthly;
the second man, from heaven.
As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly,
and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly.
Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one.

恭读圣路加福音 8:4-15
那时,有大伙群众聚集了来,并有从各城来到耶稣跟前的。耶稣就用比喻说:“有一个撒种子的,出去撒种子;他撒的时候,有的落在路旁,就被践踏了,并有天上的飞鸟把它吃了。有的落在石头上,一长起来,就干枯了,因为没有湿气。有的落在荆棘中,荆棘同它一起长起来,把它窒息了。又有的落在好地里,长起来,结了百倍的果实。”他说完这些话,就高呼说:“有耳听的,就听吧!”
耶稣的门徒问他这比喻有什么意思。他说:“天主国的奥秘,是给你们知道的;对其余的人,就用比喻,使那看的,却看不见;听的,却听不懂。这比喻的意思是:种子是天主的话。那些在路旁的,是指那些人听了,随后就有魔鬼来到,从他们心中把天主的话夺去,使他们不至信从而得救。那些在石头上的,是指那些人,他们听的时候,高兴地接受天主的话,但这些人没有根,暂时相信,一到试探的时候,就退避了。那落在荆棘中的,是指那些听了的人,还在中途就被挂虑、钱财及生活的逸乐所蒙蔽,没有结出成熟的果实。那在好地里的,是指那些以善良和诚实的心倾听的人,他们把天主的话保存起来,以坚忍结出果实。”
Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 8:4-15
When a large crowd gathered, with people from one town after another
journeying to Jesus, he spoke in a parable.
“A sower went out to sow his seed.
And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path and was trampled,
and the birds of the sky ate it up.
Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew,
it withered for lack of moisture.
Some seed fell among thorns,
and the thorns grew with it and choked it.
And some seed fell on good soil, and when it grew,
it produced fruit a hundredfold.”
After saying this, he called out,
“Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear.”
Then his disciples asked him
what the meaning of this parable might be.
He answered,
“Knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God
has been granted to you;
but to the rest, they are made known through parables
so that they may look but not see, and hear but not understand.
“This is the meaning of the parable.
The seed is the word of God.
Those on the path are the ones who have heard,
but the Devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts
that they may not believe and be saved.
Those on rocky ground are the ones who, when they hear,
receive the word with joy, but they have no root;
they believe only for a time and fall away in time of temptation.
As for the seed that fell among thorns,
they are the ones who have heard, but as they go along,
they are choked by the anxieties and riches and pleasures of life,
and they fail to produce mature fruit.
But as for the seed that fell on rich soil,
they are the ones who, when they have heard the word,
embrace it with a generous and good heart,
and bear fruit through perseverance.”
