恭读依撒意亚先知书 56:1-3, 6-8
上主这样说：“你们应当持守公道，履行正义，因为我的救恩就要来到，我的正义就要出现。”遵守安息日而不予以亵渎，防范自己的手而不做恶事，行这事的人，与固守此道的人子，是有福的。归依上主的异邦人不应说：“上主必将我由他的民族中分别出来！”“至于那些归依上主，事奉他，爱慕上主的名，作他的仆人，又都遵守安息日而不予以亵渎，并固守我盟约的异邦人，我要领他们上我的圣山，使他们在我祈祷的殿里欢乐，他们的全燔祭和牺牲在我的祭坛上要蒙受悦纳，因为我的殿宇将称为万民的祈祷所。”这是聚集四散的以色列民的我主上主的断语：“我还要召集其他民族归于已聚集的人。”
Reading 1
A reading from the book of the Prophet Isaiah 56:1-3a, 6-8
Thus says the LORD:
Observe what is right, do what is just;
for my salvation is about to come,
my justice, about to be revealed.
Blessed is the man who does this,
the son of man who holds to it;
Who keeps the sabbath free from profanation,
and his hand from any evildoing.
Let not the foreigner say,
when he would join himself to the LORD,
“The LORD will surely exclude me from his people.”
The foreigners who join themselves to the LORD,
ministering to him,
Loving the name of the LORD,
and becoming his servants–
All who keep the sabbath free from profanation
and hold to my covenant,
Them I will bring to my holy mountain
and make joyful in my house of prayer;
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be acceptable on my altar,
For my house shall be called
a house of prayer for all peoples.
Thus says the Lord GOD,
who gathers the dispersed of Israel:
Others will I gather to him
besides those already gathered.

恭读圣若望福音 5:33-36
那时候，耶稣对犹太人说：“你们曾派人到若翰那里去，他就为真理作过证。其实我并不需要人的证据，我提及这事，只是为叫你们得救。若翰好比是一盏点着而发亮的灯，你们只一时高兴享受了他的光明。但我有比若翰更大的证据，即父所托付我要我完成的工程，就是我所行的这些工程，为我作证：证明是父派遣了我。”

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 5:33-36
Jesus said to the Jews:
“You sent emissaries to John, and he testified to the truth.
I do not accept testimony from a human being,
but I say this so that you may be saved.
John was a burning and shining lamp,
and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light.
But I have testimony greater than John’s.
The works that the Father gave me to accomplish,
these works that I perform testify on my behalf
that the Father has sent me.”
